Poor Guidance From This Hadi

1 July 2009 | 58 views

This is one of the reasons why Hadi will never be Prime Minister:

Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang today rejected the government’s plan to drop the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity requirement for Malaysian firms seeking public listing.

… Hadi also stressed that the community is still at a disadvantage because they lack infrastructural facilities which in turn narrows education opportunities.

“Because they are still left behind not only in experience but also economy and education. We have to realise that rural towns still lack the facilities and they have not yet been given the chance to catch up to the development enjoyed by other communities staying in urban areas,” he added. [The Malaysian Insider]

Obviously Hadi doesn’t understand much about the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement, if he understands anything about it at all.

Maintaining the requirement will not help provide better access to modern facilities in rural areas, it will not help provide greater education opportunities to rural Malays, it will not strengthen the community in any lasting and meaningful manner.

It never has and never will, Datuk Seri.

Do you mean to tell me that there was and is nothing wrong in giving away RM54 billion in shares to a few Bumiputeras for them to sell it off and get filthy rich quick?

You want this to continue, Datuk Seri?

How Islamic is this sort of practice, if I may ask?

Datuk Seri, do you even understand what’s going on here?

IN THESE modern times, ulama should never be allowed to lead a country.

Too few are equipped with the knowledge and understanding necessary for the task and responsibility.

I know the party elections were just held recently, but I think PAS members should already start looking beyond Hadi as the party president who will lead them to Putrajaya.

So Hadi doesn’t believe in equality for all regardless of race? Are there no poor Indians? What about Indian Muslims, if Hadi is concerned about Muslims, as he should. Tok Guru Nik Aziz has said that the term Bumiputera itself is racist due to the idea behind it. In my view, Hadi cannot be trusted. After Tok Guru Nik Aziz is gone, I see Pas going down the path of Umno and being kicked out by the people once again. Kelantan might even fall to Umno. No thanks to Hadi and Co. They’re destroying Pas.

Terima Kasih Bro – you read my mind :-)

Dear Hadi – please research how many of the 30% were actually given to rural Malays and not umnoputras & cronies?

    Tokkimu

Hadi is biding his time to bringing Pas into UMNO

PAS should look at Iran’s model of government. It has the Ayatollah, as the Islamic supreme leader and then the more secular and yet Islamic figure as president.

Hadi or Nik Aziz can be the Ayatollah Khomeini and Husam can be the Ahmadiejad.

I am really at a loss with this coming from the PAS President. If you are not sure what the question is all about, pls refrain from unnecessary comments.

Well, said. No way he is going to replace Najib in UMNO, or Anwar in PR. the UG stunt will not change anything.

Nothing he does will change that fact. His supporters and the UG proponents should accept that.

“IN THESE modern times, ulama should never be allowed to lead a country.”

yes, absolutely correct. but u r touching the nerves of at least HALF of PAS supporters here, my friend. the whole ideology of PAS (in recent decades, maybe not at the founding period) is to establish the supreme rule of the clerics/ulamas, just like they have in Iran – Wilayat al-Faqih (the rule of the jurisprudent).

that’s why, u hear the PAS ulamas screaming about constitutional amendments to the party’s constitution to make sure that the party’s top posts be held by ulamas n ulamas ONLY.

it was this ideology which gave rise to the islamic resurgence, worldwide, after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. it is precisely this ideology which allows our muftis n ulamas to PLAY GOD – by claiming to b God’s viceroys on earth (after the death of the Prophet)…

but i suspect Hadi is taking this stand bcos he has a huge personal AMBITION – to become the next PM of Malaysia, by trying to win over more Melayus – so many, that PAS can go it alone to replace UMNO + BN… or at least become the dominant party of Pakatan…

bcos he knows that on the ground, UMNO supporters dislike the abolition of the 30% Bumi quota by Najib 2 days ago…

ulamas might b out of touch but they can b very cunning political operatives u know…
