Clueless In Kuala Lumpur

More comedy from the feared BlogHunter Mat Taib:

Pengendali dan penulis blog dibiaya organisasi luar negara hingga mencecah RM100,000 sebulan, kata Ketua Penerangan Umno, Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib. The BlogHunter

[Berita Harian]

Bloggers are being funded by a foreign organisation for as much as RM100,000 a month, said Umno information chief Mat Taib.

He said the organisation sponsored these bloggers and allowed their websites to broadcast all manner of sensitive issues written by local and foreign bloggers.

“We cannot take this lightly as these bloggers comprise professionals, and the government needs a special mechanism to address the emergence of blogs, which are spreading like an epidemic,” he said.

Mat Taib, despite being a so-called “information chief”, has not a clue about the Internet.

This “organisation” he speaks of is probably Google, with its Blogger service, and the money is probably ad revenues from Google Adsense, which many bloggers use.

RM100,000 a month is a helluva lot and I don’t think even Malaysia Today makes that much. The figure probably came from an Umno minion who plucked it out of thin air while trying to explain blogs to the hopelessly out-of-his-depth “information chief”.

[Maybe it was Zam who was doing the explaining. That would explain everything, wouldn't it?]

If you understand blogs and blogging, then insinuating that bloggers are being covertly funded (through Google Adsense) by an insidious foreign organisation (Google) would be more than ridiculous.

But Mat Taib clearly doesn’t understand shit. So it’s just dumb.

Somebody should tell him to stop talking, before he makes an even bigger fool of himself and Umno.

Wait a minute … what am I saying?

Tan Sri, you have every right to voice your opinion. Let no one stop you, least of all bloggers like me.

We can laugh at his ignorance but if we stop for a while and think these ignoramus are the very people making decisions on how this country is to be run and you can appreciate where this country will end up soon and how our lives would be screwed up by them.

    Aisehman,

Why ah? Why all this public roasting of this leaders and still no effect one, ah? Or all the words are just that, words? Or just that too much saliva in the mouth?

Too thick skin? Are we wasting time then? Nothing seems to be impervious to them…you can say all you want but nothing effect thems. Like our words like the small little arrows of the small tiny people shooting at the giant ogre? One sweep ot the hand and all of us fly all over the place.

    Why ah?

Organisasi luar negara membiayai Rm100,000 kepada monyet-monyet Malaysia untuk membuat bising dan meyebar wabak penyakit. Tetapi kenapa Aisehman.org masih miskin punya ah?

It’s rather astounding that these ministers don’t understand IT even a little. No wonder there’s little urgency of spreading broadband network in Malaysia. Maybe they don’t even realize the difference between 56K and 1MBPS connection.

Seventy to eighty million blogs world-wide, at last count.

    Sure there’s an epidemic, MMT.

People are communicating with each other.

Embrace the new medium or perish.

MMT, the bloghunter? How apt a name for someone who couldn’t locate Malaysia-Today on the internet when filing a police report.

i think that there are overseas organization funding the leftist not all of them..dun be so gullible,in this modern age, if we dont see the threat it doesnt mean that its not there.its not paranoia, but i strongly believe that malaysia is being watched under a microscope by the westerners considering we are one of the more advance nation on this side of the earth.
whats more dangerous than an offensive attack?its internal conflicts, like whats going on in africa, iraq, afgan, south america, our neighbours,etc..i think we should look in the matter as it could resemble a threat to our peace loving country, this is bigger than political stance or personal grudge..its a force much bigger than u n me.
well any of you whos familiar with the american foreign economic policy would understand what im talking about.thats blatant!
well if u want to hit out on the politicians knock urself out but pls also consider on whats at risk!u sound as if only lim kit siang or anwar gave the same statement that u will fully grasp the situation like its confirmed.please have a mind of your own, think out of the box.peace!
